Weathered in Tennessee

Weathered in Tennessee

The Weekly Photo Challenge is weathered. I have many versions of weathered buildings and places. This gallery is from a Tuesday Trekkin’ trip in 2017.

2017 Favorites

2017 Favorites

The weekly photo challenge is to post my most meaningful image taken in 2017. I’ve decided to post a gallery of my favorites. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

Take the Stairs

Take the Stairs

The Weekly Photo Challenge is Ascend.  To get to the top, you have to work for it sometimes.  Take the stairs, the elevator is broken.

Salty Transformations

Salty Transformations

The weekly photo challenge is transformation. While the original blog discusses weather and seasonal transformations, I decided to go in a different direction. When we were in Krakow, Poland, we visited the Wieliczka Salt Mines. The mines have been continuously active from the 13th century until 2007. I briefly discussed our trip to the mines in …

Temporarily there

Temporarily there

The Weekly Photo Challenge is Temporary. Street photography is all about catching a moment. Because once that person or people move just a hair to the left or right, the image changes and becomes something else.

Around the Bend

The Weekly Photo Challenge is Rounded. It’s what I love about cities and towns, those curves that lead us around the corner. You can’t see past it. What’s waiting there? Just around the corner.

Glow

Glow

The weekly photo challenge is glow. I love to back light things with a sunset or sunrise to give it a natural glow. Sometimes I do enhance it a bit.

Feeling Small in Church

Feeling Small in Church

The weekly photo challenge is Scale.  The over sized Gothic churches and cathedrals of Europe are a great example of this. With their massive columns, two and three story stained glass windows, and soaring painted ceilings, they make me feel tiny in comparison.   All photos are available as prints in my gallery.

Watch for Pedestrians

The Weekly Challenge this week is Pedestrian.  Which could mean lacking inspiration or dull. It could also mean people walking. In big cities, it’s pretty easy to find pedestrians. It seems everyone walks to work and to play. In fact, I would say that without the people these places would be pedestrian.

Window

Window

The Weekly Photo Challenge is Windows.  A challenge to take a photo from a window where we blog. This is through the door to my back porch where I usually blog.
