The black and white images are great – perfect treatment for the Smithsonian! I like how you have finished that image of the Capitol as well. Nice touch!
Thank you, Steve!
Wow beautiful work. I especially love your black and white photos!
Thank you, Bob!
Nice photos of this amazing place.
Thank you!
Sharon, when you go again ask to see the RT Davis photo album and other loose photos. I found the vintage album in a thrift store in western NC many years ago, and some while back, I donated it to the Smithsonian after learning that RTD and his wife and child were known by them, and if memory serves, the husband held some position there. The wife was a writer but I never found any record of what she wrote.
Cool! Thanks for letting me know!
Haven’t been there in many years! The toxic political climate puts me off, I guess. That Tastee Diner looks like a converted railroad car – do you know the story? A great night time image.
Jim, it was designed with the classic railroad car diner in mind in 1946. Thanks for visiting!
I love the light in the passageway photo – great eye to catch that.
Thank you!
