Challenge Yourself Part 2

I recently did a post on the importance of challenging yourself to stay inspired and boost creativity. I ended with images from a pocket watch challenge, which led me to a book challenge.

Book Challenge

The book challenge became an Open Book Challenge.

What’s Next?

These are images I worked on this week for my open book challenge. I feel like there is more to pursue here. So, I will be doing more of these. I like the idea of featuring images that pertain to the book’s subject matter. This is why I try to continue to challenge myself. It always leads to something new and inspiring.

I would love to see your own challenges and inspirations! Share your links in the comments!

Shadow Play

Sometimes my photography feels stagnate or I just do not feel inspired. When this happens, I try to challenge myself to try something new and different. I decided to do some shadow play today. Most of the shadows were organic in shape and cast by natural things like leaves or plants. But I did catch the shadow of a lawn chair and it came out pretty nice. I briefly considered making these black and white, but decided that the shadows themselves had little color already. I also really liked the pieces of color from the rust of the car or random leaves. I would love to see your shadow play, feel free to tag me.
